What types of therapy do you offer?

We offer individual and couple's therapy with specialties in trauma-informed care, anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, and emotional regulation. Modalities include CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS and mindfulness-based approaches.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. We provide secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions for clients located in anywhere in New Jersey. You can attend therapy from the comfort of your home using a phone, tablet, or computer.

How do I get started?

You can start by filling out our contact form or calling our office. We would be happy to schedule a free 15-minute consultation as well where we’ll briefly discuss your needs, answer questions, and determine if our services are a good fit.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. We are in-network with most major commercial insurances and can also provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. Please contact us to confirm your coverage or discuss payment options.

How long are therapy sessions, and how often do I need to come?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes and occur weekly, though frequency may vary depending on your goals and needs. We’ll work together to find a schedule that supports your progress.

What ages do you work with?

We currently work with children/teens/adults/families ages 5 & up. However, each therapist at our practice may have different age or population specializations.

What should I expect in the first session?

The first session focuses on understanding your concerns, gathering background information, and identifying your goals for therapy. It’s a chance for you to get to know your therapist and ask questions about the process.

Is everything I share confidential?

Yes. Your privacy is protected by law. There are a few legal exceptions (e.g., risk of harm to self or others, mandated reporting of abuse), which we’ll review with you at the start of treatment.

What issues do you not treat?

We do not provide court-ordered evaluations, forensic assessments, or intensive substance use or eating disorder treatment. If your needs fall outside our scope, we’ll do our best to refer you to a trusted provider.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward, therapy can help. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from support. A consultation can help you decide whether it’s the right time to begin.

How long will it take?

Unfortunately, this is not possible to say in a general FAQs page. Everyone’s circumstances are unique to them and the length of time counseling can take to allow you to accomplish your goals depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek counseling in the first place.
